Our Mission

Friendship Church is reaching our community with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ; teaching that the Bible is relevant to everyday life; equipping individuals through vital relationships to love God and serve others.

Friendship Church is a new local congregation of the United Methodist Church.  We celebrated our 10th anniversary in January 2008.  People join us each week and have found our church to be a place to find practical advice for everyday living.  It's a warm and accepting place, full of life and activity, with a strong sense of family and belonging. 

While there are many strong mainline churches in our area, we know that the traditional church can't reach everyone.  That's why Friendship Church is different by design; less emphasis on formality and ritual, more emphasis on personal relationship, use of contemporary music, focus on adult small groups and quality in children and youth ministries---that's what more people find appealing at Friendship Church.

Our goals at Friendship Church include:

• Focus on addressing the spiritual needs of the person who has little or no church experience.
• Commitment to providing a positive, uplifting Sunday service that makes sense to people who are just getting into the Christian faith.
• Emphasis on Biblically-based teaching.
• Friendliness towards others in the church and a "welcome home" attitude.
• Offer need-meeting activities for all ages.
