GRAND OPENING
Unity In Marriage
Each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. Ephesians 5:33
What is respect?
·To work and achieve- to conquer something,
·To offer protection and provision to be significant
·To serve and lead to have some authority "your in charge of this
·To analyze and counsel ask me "what do you think?"
·To have shoulder to shoulder friendships
What is Love?
·Closeness: use their name
·Openness: personal sharing - even the minor things
"So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them."Genesis 1:27
·Understand our differences
·Embrace our differences
In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.1 Peter 3:7
"Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God."Romans 15:7
·Compliment our differences
GO TO GOD WITH YOUR DISSAPOINTMENTS.
·Ask God to show you why you are disappointed.
·Cut each other slack
"Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love." Ephesians 4:2
·Face the Disappointment
"Trust God all the time. Tell Him all your problems, because God is our protection." Psalms 62:8
"...we can trust God to do what He promised." Hebrews 10:23
"Turn us around and bring us back to You again! That is our only hope! Give us back the joys we used to have!" Lamentations 5:21
LOOK TO JESUS AS YOUR EXAMPLE
"Be kind and loving to each other, and forgive each other just as God forgave you in Christ." Ephesians 4:32
"Don’t be selfish; don’t live to make a good impression on others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself... Your attitude should be the kind that was shown us by Jesus Christ, who, though He was God, did not demand and cling to His rights as God..." Philippians 2:3,5-6
"…let us stop just saying we love people; let us really love them, and show it by our actions." 1 John 3:18
