IT’S YOUR TURN FOR PEACE WITH YOUR KIDS

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. "Honor your father and mother"—which is the first commandment with a promise— "that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth." Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.      Ephesians 6:1-4

There is a right way for a child to relate to their parent.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.      Ephesians 6:1

How:

• THE PARENT MUST ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE CHILD.

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.      Proverbs 22:6

• GOD GIVES A RESPONSIBLE PARENTS AUTHORITY.

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.      Ephesians 6:4

• CHILDREN RESPOND TO RESPONSIBLE, ATHORITATIVE PARENTS WITH LOVE AND RESPECT.

What is our example?

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.     Philippians 2:5-11
